Thursday

Zen

Asian · teppanyaki + sushi · Echo Bldg · dinner 5:30–10

5.0★
TripAdvisor (6 reviews) · #1 buzz

Teppanyaki tables (seatings at 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 PM), a sushi bar, and an à la carte menu. Walk-ins work for regular tables; teppanyaki needs a same-day reservation at the dining desk. This is Thursday's dinner.

What guests say
"Zen was my favorite restaurant on site. DELICIOUS... I highly recommend the hibachi table."TripAdvisor, Nov 2021
"Whether you did teppanyaki or the regular menu, the food was fantastic."The Traveling Compass
"The experience at the sushi bar is unique, chefs Miguel Ángel and Luis Villamil make you feel unique and special."TripAdvisor, Apr 2024

Toro

Steakhouse · Tune Bldg · dinner 5:30–10

7/8
positive mentions · #2 buzz

Walk-ins welcome but it fills up early. The garlic ribeye is the signature order; the short ribs and campfire salmon also get named. Note the tomahawk is an upcharge, not included.

What guests say
"Toro for dinner was excellent."TripAdvisor, Dec 2022
"We enjoyed our meal family-style, so we could try more things, such as tender short ribs, and juicy New York strip."San Diego Explorer, May 2026
"We enjoyed the salmon and ribeye steak at Toro and the drinks were great. The rest of the food there was average."TripAdvisor, Nov 2021

Ciao

Italian · Tune Bldg · breakfast 8–12 + dinner 5:30–10

6/7
positive mentions · #3 buzz

Italian dinner plus a sit-down breakfast. The seafood risotto and pappardelle with wild mushrooms are the most-recommended plates, and there's outdoor seating by the water.

What guests say
"Our favorite. The risotto, calamari, and pasta were top-notch."Carry On Twins
"We loved the Italian restaurant Ciao. It had the best steak we had all week."The Traveling Compass
"The setting at Ciao is also stunning and you can eat outside by the water."Yellow Umbrella Events

Los Gallos

Mexican · at Lyric Pool · breakfast, lunch & dinner

6/8
positive mentions · #4 buzz

Mexican, open for all three meals, right in front of the Lyric Pool. Lunch and dinner menus are the same, so a lunch visit frees up an evening. Tacos and chilaquiles at breakfast; the terrace is a sunset spot.

What guests say
"The waiter brings you a bowl of warm tortilla chips and salsa, followed by a plate of delicious tacos."San Diego Explorer, May 2026
"Great Mexican food, top shelf tequila and tables in the sunshine."Yellow Umbrella Events
"We recommend watching the sunset from the terrace at Los Gallos."The Traveling Compass

The Market

Buffet · Chord Bldg · breakfast, lunch & dinner

5/6
positive mentions · #5 buzz

International buffet with omelet, taco, grill, and salad stations. The most popular breakfast on property.

What guests say
"Amazing experience at Hard Rock Los Cabos, especially at The Market buffet."TripAdvisor, Nov 2025
"The Market is the hotel's buffet and breakfast is BIG."Yellow Umbrella Events
"It was a standard buffet, with made to order eggs, some local specialties and pastries."Carry On Twins
Dress code

UMO

Yucatecan · Chord Bldg · dinner 5:30–10

3/4
positive mentions · #6 buzz · newer spot

Yucatecan cooking over open fire, handmade tortillas. Dress code is smart casual: collared shirt or polo, no swimwear, real shoes. It's the newest restaurant, so reviews are fewer.

What guests say
"We love this new restaurant! We recommend ordering the beef tacos for a shared appetizer, they are delicious!"Yellow Umbrella Events
"Featured local cuisine and some great fish and steak options."Carry On Twins

Pizzeto

Brick-oven pizza · at Pulse Pool · 11–6

2/2
positive mentions · #7 buzz · few reviews

Brick-oven Neapolitan pizzas, build-your-own, plus nachos, wings, and burgers at the Pulse Pool. The daytime poolside option.

What guests say
"You can pick from one of the brick oven Italian style pizzas or create your own."Yellow Umbrella Events
"We love ordering our pizzas to-go from Pizzeto for lunch and enjoying them by the pool."All Inclusive Dining
24 hours

Room Service + Cafetto

In-room dining 24h · café in the lobby 6 AM–1 AM

2/2
positive mentions · #8 buzz · few reviews

In-room dining runs 24 hours and is included; guests name the burger and the Oreo cheesecake. Cafetto in the lobby covers coffee, tea, and snacks from 6 AM to 1 AM.

What guests say
"24 hour coffee, tea, cakes, salads and other munchies. Here is where you will find the best coffee at Hard Rock Los Cabos."Yellow Umbrella Events

Ratings and quotes compiled from TripAdvisor and travel-blog coverage, 2021–2026. Only Zen has its own TripAdvisor listing; for the rest, the score is the share of positive mentions across the sources we reviewed, and "buzz" is how often each spot comes up.

Hydration & recreation

The After Party

Every bar in the building, followed by the band's official rider. Management (Jonathan) thanks the venue in advance for its patience.

Last call 2 AM

Moonlight Bar, Lounge & Bowling

Echo Bldg · Sun–Wed 5 PM–1 AM · Thu–Sat 5 PM–2 AM

Late-night headquarters, and the last bar standing every night we're here. Four bowling lanes downstairs (3:30–10:30 PM, roughly $12–25 a head, socks required). This is where "bowling???" either becomes real or becomes a story.

Sunlight Bar

Chord Bldg · 10 AM–midnight

The all-day workhorse. Opens before the pools and stays open after dinner.

Holding Bar

Tune Bldg · 5–10 PM

Literally named for waiting. The pre-dinner staging area for whoever's ready first.

10–6 daily

Swim-Up & Wet Bars

Every pool · Pulse swim-up, Lyric, Rhythm, Eden + more

Hydration without leaving the water. The inflatable beer pong table deploys within splash distance of one of these. (See The Show Bar is closed until further notice. Pour one out.)

Sound of Your Stay

Hard Rock's music program · via the front desk

The hotel will literally lend you a guitar, or a turntable with vinyl, for your room. We are called Alex & The Rock Hard Lads. It would be irresponsible not to.

The Rider

Non-negotiable backstage demands

  1. Makeover: everyone gets tattoos.
  2. Deploy the inflatable beer pong table. Make everyone else in the pool jealous and hateful.
  3. One of the twelve card games we brought (Monopoly Deal, normal cards, Buzzed, Uno) until it quickly devolves into drinking.
  4. Jonathan teaches everyone a fun dice game that he doesn't really remember.
  5. Drink. There's always drinking.
